I’ll make this short: I seem to be going through a period where my energy is ebbing and I am having a touch time simply checking of the various duties in my ropes add father, husband, kalyanamitta and business person. Naturally, this decrease in energy sends to result almost immediately in a mild depression which is only exacerbated by the stress of having over committed oneself. But, by not struggling too hard not giving way I how to ensure and cultivate goodness until the circumstances change.

What can I say, Mike. I think I know how you feel. I’m finding it harder to muster the energy through my shift. Many of my colleagues just burn out or cope by using alcohol and/or drugs.
Try and look after yourself, look out for yourself.
Kind regards,
Ben

Deep breaths friend. It’s always harder when you’re holding yourself accountable for outcomes, holding yourself responsible for contributing to the happiness of the people around you. You can be encouraged by the fact that you care enough to look at your life, your feelings, your tendency to overcommit at times. If you didn’t care, none of this would bother you. Try to eat enough, get enough sleep, and give yourself time. Moving through the challenges and returning to equanimity, cultivating maitri–such righteous aspirations. May you be well.
